Terms of Service

By accessing or using LEARN, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the LEARN platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

2. Platform Description

LEARN is a marketplace that connects English learners (students) with independent English tutors. LEARN facilitates bookings and payments but is not itself a tutoring service. Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of LEARN.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 require parental consent.

4. Bookings and Payments

When you book a lesson, payment is collected at the time of booking. LEARN deducts a platform commission from each payment before transferring the remainder to the tutor. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider.

5. Cancellation Policy

Students may cancel a lesson up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to the individual tutor's cancellation policy. LEARN reserves the right to issue refunds at its discretion in exceptional circumstances.

6. Tutor Obligations

Tutors must hold a minimum C1 English certification. Tutors are responsible for the quality and delivery of their lessons. Tutors must not solicit students to transact outside the LEARN platform.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use LEARN to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post false or misleading information
• Circumvent the platform's payment system
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the LEARN platform, including logos, text, and design, is the property of LEARN or its licensors. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

LEARN is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LEARN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform.
